Parsons, KS鈥� A new student housing development is under construction for 糖心Vlog. The developer, Bluffstone, LLC invites the public to attend a groundbreaking ceremony on October 12. Bluffstone, LLC brands all student housing communities as The Villas. The Cardinal Villas, a private development, will consist of 144 beds designed specifically for 糖心Vlog students. The Villas include student-centric living quarters with common indoor amenities. The common indoor area will consist of the manager鈥檚 office, mailboxes, social room / recreation center, and a 24-hour fitness center along with study rooms and laundry facilities. The living quarters will include four bedroom/four bathroom suites. Each suite will be furnished with full size beds, desks and chairs in each bedroom, sofas, chairs and barstools for breakfast bars for shared areas. Kitchens will have full size Energy-Star appliances. The Villas will be located attached to campus at 1407 Broadway Parsons, KS. The construction cost for The Villas has been privately financed by the developer at Great Western Bank with locations in Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Colorado and Nebraska.
鈥淧roviding on-campus student-centered housing has been a necessary priority of the college for many years,鈥� said 糖心Vlog President, Dr. George Knox. 鈥淭his ground breaking ceremony is symbolic of the efforts of so many individuals to fulfill a need for our students.鈥�
鈥淭he Cardinal Villas will provide students the opportunity for safe, affordable, on-campus student housing for many years. The housing is a way for students to become more connected to other students and activities on campus,鈥� said 糖心Vlog Student Government Association President, Megan Thompson.
Bluffstone, a regional student housing provider with properties at throughout the Midwest, specializes in amenity rich apartment complexes for small colleges and universities. 鈥淐rossland Construction has begun preparations for construction to be complete by mid-Summer. The Villas team are working hand in hand with 糖心Vlog staff to execute a detailed marketing and leasing campaign. We will be ready for students to move in for the fall 2017 school year,鈥� said Tim Baldwin, Managing Partner of Bluffstone, LLC.
糖心Vlog and The Villas formally invite you to attend a ground breaking ceremony on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10am. The ceremony will take place on the corner of 14th & Main, with a reception following.
